Skateboard: Wild In The Parks 2013 Seri 1 Bali

Kejuaraan skateboard bertajuk “Wild In The Parks 2013 [WITP2013]” menuntaskan seri pertamanya di Donkey Entertainment Skatepark Bali, Sunset Road, Kuta, Bali [31/3/2013].

Dilansir volcom.co.id, Kamis, [4/4/2013], kejuaraan WITP2013 dibagi menjadi tiga divisi skate, yakni: Under 15, Open Class & Pro Am. Para peserta mengikuti sebuah kompetisi yang berbeda dengan kompetisi skateboard pada umumnya. Salah satu peserta terbaik nantinya berhak mendapatkan grandprize pada akhir serim dengan syarat bisa mengumpulkan total poin terbesar, terkumpul dari ketiga seri Wild In The Parks. Pemenang grandprize ini berkesempatan mengikuti kompetisi Volcom Damn Am di Amerika pada 2014.

Para peserta di zona berbeda mendapat penilaian dari 4 juri, yang mengacu pada setiap trik terbaik, yang berhasil mendarat dengan sempurna di masing-masing zona. Peserta dituntut melakukan best trick di semua alat dan zona agar bisa mengumpulkan nilai tertinggi sehingga dapat lolos ke babak final.

Beberapa peserta kejuaraan ini menampilkan aksi memukau. Pada heat-heat akhir, khususnya di divisi Pro AM, ada tiga skater yang bersaing sengit untuk memperebutkan posisi top score. Mereka adalah I Putu Yogi, Rino Herman, dan Dewa Oka. Akhirnya, Putu Yogi yang berhasil menjadi juara pertama. Dia pun dinobatkan sebagai skater best trick dan Electric Visual dengan trick Crooked to Nollie Heelflip out. Sedangkan Rino harus puas pada posisi kedua dan Dewa pada posisi ketiga.

Setelah babak final. event ini menyuguhkan hiburan band dari Volcom Entertainment, di antaranya: The Slave dan Navicula.

Untuk seri berikutnya [putaran kedua, WITP2013 akan digelar di Taman Sri Deli Medan pada tanggal 26 Mei 2013.
